Environmental Health Survey – SCPH

Summit County Public Health (SCPH) would like to identify the needs of Summit County residents. Your input is very important because it helps SCPH understand the concerns and needs of Summit County residents. Once feedback has been received from the community, SCPH will prioritize the concerns and create action plans to begin addressing these concerns. Environmental health is defined as the natural and built environment that affects human health. The goal is to have the results published by April 2016. The survey should take approximately 5-7 minutes. To access the survey please click here.

The survey will be administered between November 2015 and January 2016.

Purpose
Summit County Public Health launched the initial phase of the community-based environmental health assessment (CEHA) in 2011 using the Protocol for Assessing Community Excellence in Environmental Health (PACE-EH), a community engagement tool developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO). The goal of this model is to engage the community in the assessment process and set priorities for action to promote environmental excellence and mitigate any environmental health disparities affecting one’s ability to thrive in their respective community.
Goals
The PACE-EH process in Summit County is two-fold; address significant environmental health disparities and mitigate these disparities through priorities for action and to establish the foundation for a county-level environmental health annual report. The goal of the community survey is to identify the environmental health concerns of Summit County residents.
