Applications are now available for AMATS fifth round of Connecting Communities Planning Grants. AMATS has made available $80,000 for two $40,000 planning grants with the purpose of creating better connections for all users of the road. Planning Grant Applications should further the Connecting Communities principles:

• Increase alternative transportation options to connect people and places
• Promote Complete Street principles to create vibrant and safe places for all users
• Leverage transportation projects to develop places which support alternative transportation and complete streets through land use and design

The deadline to submit applications is February 28, 2020. The Connecting Communities Planning Grant Task Force will meet to review applications and make recommendations for Policy Committee approval on May 14, 2020.
