Mayor Plusquellic recently endorsed the Akron Active Transportation Committee (AATC) in January 2015. The AATC serves to identify the needs and opportunities for safe and healthy active transportation for all Akron community members to engage in walking, biking, and transit.  The Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study (AMATS) has served in a collaborative and active role with the AATC by exploring strategies to increase transportation choices and accessibility while helping communities in the development and implementation of initiatives that create healthier and livable communities.

The AATC will continue to advance its efforts and goals toward developing safe and healthy active transportation plans and projects to better connect communities in the Akron area.   Check out Mayor Plusquellic’s endorsement letter.
