The AMATS 2022 Annual Report is available.  2022 wasn’t just another year on a calendar.  It’s when AMATS celebrated its Diamond Anniversary as the Greater Akron area’s metropolitan planning organization!

Among the agency’s accomplishments in 2022 were the completion of a first-of-its-kind yearly traffic congestion analysis, two three-year crash reports, and the launch of a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Taskforce.

Other highlights include a commitment to the national Vision Zero initiative, the ongoing success of the agency’s Connecting Communities Program, and the awarding of nearly $40 million in federal funds for 37 highway, resurfacing, bike, and pedestrian projects throughout the region.
