Michelle May, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Highway Safety Program manager, was one of the featured speakers during the 2023 AMATS Annual Meeting.

For the past 15 years, May has managed the department’s $185 million Highway Safety Program, which provides technical expertise and funding to state and local governments to prevent severe crashes on Ohio roads.  She also manages a statewide coalition of organizations focused on reducing traffic deaths and serious injuries – including those involving distracted driving, speeding, pedestrians, and young drivers.
