AMATS Accepting Applications for CMAQ Project Funding
AMATS is now accepting applications for the Congestion Mitigation/Air Quality (CMAQ) Program.
Please submit two hard copies of each completed application (see links below) and supporting material such as maps. Also, please email the applications and supporting material to vbotosan@akronohio.gov .
The deadline for these applications is by the end of day on June 30, 2014 at the AMATS office, 146 South High Street, Suite 806, Akron, OH 44308.
Legislation is also required for each project application submitted by a community to show support for the project and to acknowledge a requirement of a local share. If multiple communities/agencies are sponsoring a project, legislation is required from each sponsor. Project legislation is due by July 31, 2014.
Once the applications are received, they will be reviewed and scored by the Technical Advisory Committee’s TIP Subcommittee. It is anticipated that project funding recommendations will be presented for approval at the September TAC and Policy meetings. The approved list of projects from the AMATS area will then be submitted to the statewide CMAQ Committee for evaluation against all projects submitted throughout the state. Final funding approvals will be announced by the end of the calendar year.
