AMATS is now accepting applications for the Surface Transportation Program (STP), Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), and AMATS Resurfacing Program (STP funding).

Please submit two hard copies of each completed application (see links below) and supporting material such as maps.  Also, if you are able, please email the applications and supporting material to vbotosan@akronohio.gov . The deadline for these applications is by the end of day on November 25, 2013 at the AMATS office, 146 South High Street, Suite 806, Akron, OH 44308.

Legislation is also required for each project application submitted by a community to show support for the project and to acknowledge an understanding of AMATS Funding Policy Guidelines.  If multiple communities/agencies are sponsoring a project, legislation is required from each sponsor.  Project legislation is due by December 20, 2013.  View sample legislation here.

Once the applications are received, they will be reviewed and scored based on the evaluation criteria contained in the Funding Policy Guidelines.  A meeting of the Technical Advisory Committee’s TIP Subcommittee will then be scheduled to begin reviewing and ranking the project applications.  It is anticipated that project funding recommendations will be presented for final approval at the January TAC and Policy meetings.
