AMATS’ Market Street Bike-N-Brainstorm was a success for aficionados of velocipedes. Timed to coincide with National Bike Week, the May 17 workshop began with a bike ride along Akron’s well-traveled Market Street Corridor followed by a brainstorming session at the Hardesty Park picnic shelter.

During the session, attendees discussed possible ways to improve the corridor for cyclists. AMATS will use the insights of attendees as it crafts a Bike Plan for the Greater Akron area that promotes on-road cycling. The agency may host similar events in the future. The accompanying slide show depicts the day’s events.
