Being physically active and in touch with nature and our community is more important now than ever. The Move with the Mayor (MWTM) initiative and the Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study (AMATS) would like to highlight the benefits of recent infrastructure projects that have incorporated Complete Streets principles which encourage active living and can provide safe and fun access to our parks and green spaces. The MWTM initiative challenges Mayors to lead by example through living an active life and taking advantage of the bicycle and pedestrian friendly infrastructure that connect our communities. All of which also benefits heart health and overall well-being.
