METRO Executive Director Bob Pfaff was elected 2011 chairman of the AMATS Policy Committee.  The Policy Committee is composed of 44 officials representing local municipalities, counties, transit agencies, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.  It is responsible for deciding how federal transportation funds are spent in the Greater Akron area.  Ravenna Mayor Joe Bica, Jr. was elected to serve as vice-chairman.
