Where’s Ohio Going?

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is pleased to announce its Ohio Moves initiative!  Please visit Ohio Moves Transportation Study for more information.  Survey participants will be selected by the department at random.

Over the next several months, the department will survey day-to-day household travel activity and typical travel patterns for residents across the Buckeye State.  This information is vital for ODOT and other agencies to understand how the state’s transportation system is impacted by growth, development, and other changes in communities.

The data collected in this study will be used to update the database of household travel behavior and to forecast travel needs into the future.  Reliable and viable travel options contribute to Ohio’s quality of life and economic vitality.

The Ohio Moves study will help agencies prioritize transportation improvements to support the needs of communities in the future.  ODOT is engaged with the city of Akron to make sure that this project is a success.  The city views resident participation in the project as beneficial in terms of identifying future planning needs.  The public’s insights regarding our state’s transportation system would be greatly appreciated by the department.
